About the Event

Remote Focus Group sessions for heritage organisations across Scotland to participate and contribute to the co-development of this the ‘Surviving to Thriving’ Business Support Programme Extension.

Following the success of the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) -funded ‘Surviving to Thriving’ Business Support Programme, we are delighted that to have been awarded additional funding from NLHF to continue our work supporting the heritage sector in Scotland through a one-year extension during 2023.

Developed by Museums Galleries Scotland, Built Environment Scotland and greenspace scotland, ‘Surviving to Thriving’ supports heritage organisations to build capacity and develop sustainable business models.

The programme extension will commence in March 2023 and deliver a comprehensive resilience and leadership training programme for a further 20 heritage organisations in Scotland.

We are holding two remote Focus Groups sessions on Tuesday 25 & Thursday 27 October 2022, and are inviting heritage organisations across the wider heritage in Scotland to participate and contribute to the co-development of the programme extension.

We will be asking for your views on current skills gaps within the sector and how the Business Support Programme extension can help support and upskill your organisation and staff within the four key areas of Leadership, Governance, Business Planning and Community Engagement.

To join one of our Focus Group sessions, please register by 12pm on Monday 24 October 2022. Places are limited so please book early.

If you have any questions, please contact our Business Support Project Manager –

Open to all heritage organisations in Scotland that are interested in participating – museums, galleries, built environment, greenspace and community heritage.
